This beautiful cottage is ideal for a family, girls weekend or even a getaway just for yourself.

The original 1945 pine floors throughout the home have been restored and give the entire cottage a cozy glow. The living room/dining room/galley kitchen is all one large room so you can cook dinner while being part of the entire group. The sun room in the front of the home gives you another great area to relax and enjoy.

Miller Avenue is 4-5 blocks back from the beach and an easy walk to the Back River Fishing pier as well as kayak launch area-Alley 3. You are also close to "Downtown Tybee" which includes the Marine Science Center, our fishing pier and shops and restaurants. A truly delightful cottage!!

  Tybee Daze was perfect! It’s adorable and very clean! We also loved having a washer and dryer. We went to the beach everyday and some of us walked to the beach and some drove and paid to park. Communication was so thoughtful and efficient!   We spent 3 months at Tybee Daze as winter snowbirds on Tybee and it was our favorite Mermaid cottage so far. (Don't tell anyone!) The cottage was just as advertised. We loved the sun porch in the mornings and the back deck when it was warm enough to sit outside. Beds were comfortable and the cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed.   Tybee Daze is a great house! It’s a great location for walking to food and to the south end of the beach; it was clean and orderly, and the ladies at Mermaid Cottages were so easy to talk with and helped us with any crazy questions we had.   enjoyed the sun porch continuously. Did not use back porch much because weather was a little cool but it was easily accessed from the two back bedrooms. Beds and seating areas were comfortable and great pillows. We cooked most meals and kitchen was well equipped. Access to local stores was good and nice to be so close to Savannah for tours and sightseeing. We had four adults and one teenager. The layout allowed us to have our own space or all play games at the table. Highly recommend.

  Tybee Daze cottage was just as described. 4 blocks from the beach, so you need a cart if you walk, not an issue for us. The cottage is a older home but very functional for what it is. Beds were comfy and the air was cold. Management was spot on with communication and there for anything we needed. The only drawback was there was limited storage and no closets. No big deal for us but fyi. We would stay again for sure.

  We rented Tybee Daze for a week-long vacation. The experience with Mermaid Cottages was fantastic from start to finish - booking was a breeze (the hardest part was picking which cottage to book). The app made it so simple to have all the information on-hand that we needed to check-in, know what we needed to pack, etc. The Mermaid staff even called us the second day we were there to make sure we were happy and that there was nothing we needed. Superlative service!
  
  The cottage itself was adorable, located in the popular south end of the island, it was convenient to everything, while still being in a quiet neighborhood. With the sun porch, there are two separate living areas, which was very nice. The property was VERY clean and comfortable.
  Our week went by in a flash and we will look forward to returning to Tybee and staying at a Mermaid Cottages property again!

  As expected, we had another great family vacation at Tybee. This was our third Cottage w/Mermaids. The property was clean, great location to either the marsh or the main beach, located halfway between AJ's and Sting Rays, nice quiet neighborhood feel. Each cottage has it's own "quirkiness". Tybee Daze had no dishwasher or any closets in the bedrooms but that was no big deal. A vacuum cleaner would be nice; the yard, especially the back yard where we spent the majority of our time when we were home, is very sandy and sand gets tracked into the house. Thankfully there was a broom and dust pan. The mermaid staff, as always was great. We already have Christmas and next summer booked with Mermaid Cottages.

  Our vacation was absolutely perfect! Mermaid Cottages were so helpful and responsive I will only rent through them at Tybee. The cottage itself was so cute and it was very clean when we arrived. My only suggestion and this is very minor, I would paint the living/main room and kitchen a light color - it is SO dark in that room. We moved the dining table into the sunroom because it was so bright and cheerful- we ate our meals in there. Pictures of each room on your website are very accurate so honestly I wasn’t surprised it was a dark room. It may be an authentic 1940s style with all the wood. Location was about 4 blocks to the ocean - an easy walk or bike ride. Nice quiet little neighborhood. Perfect fenced in backyard for our dogs. We’ll be back :)

  We needed a quick getaway this fall and our go-to destination is Tybee Island. It's such a pleasure to know that we can rent a cottage from the Mermaids and know exactly what to expect -- sparkling clean accommodations, Mermaid Bliss Coffee on the counter, and a team of mermaids tending to anything we need. We always get a text from one of the mermaids making sure all is right with our cottage upon arrival and reassurance that she is just a text/call away if we need anything. Tybee Daze is cozy and comfy and just a short walk to the south beach which is our favorite spot to hang out. Our dogs love morning walks along the river too! Thanks Mermaids as always for a wonderful stay! We'll be back again soon!

  My wife, brother-in-law and I all had a great time staying here. The cottage was spotless and in a perfect location. It's just a short walk to the beach on the ocean side or river side of the island and also to several bars/restaurants. Sting Rays, Fannies and my favorite, Chamacos Tacos and Surf, are all within walking distance and all have great food and nice outdoor seating areas. I would recommend this cottage if you are looking for a place to stay in Tybee Island.

  Our family has started an annual tradition of going away for Christmas. Tybee Daze did not disappoint. We were very pleased with the extras that were done for us. A Christmas tree had been put up which added a wonderful touch to our Christmas morning. We were also left a gift of Christmas puppy dog kitchen towels (our pup was with us), which was just the sweetest thing from the Mermaids. Family time at the holidays is very important to us, and the Mermaid staff just made it extra special. We will most def be back.

  Great location, about everything you need is either provided or attainable close by. Check out AJ's just a few streets away. Relatively quiet, easy access to the beach and the area is walkable and provides a bike path! Lemon trees and I think an apple tree as well in the back yard.

  We have been spending our annual time at the beach with the Mermaids for nearly twenty years. Unfortunately, our time this year was cut short by another guest by the name of Dorian. Even though we only completed two days of our time this year before the evacuation was ordered, we found everything to be in in top notch order when we arrived at Tybee Daze. The Mermaids had everything ready for us, kept us posted on the storm and checked with us to make sure the cottaage was to our liking. I hat kind of attention to detail is what keeps us coming back year after year. So, even though this year didn’t turn out as we had planned, we won’t be deterred from future visits because of a minor issue like a hurricane. We’ll be back!

  My sisters and I settled in to Tybee Daze for a week to welcome in the new year. The cottage is absolutely charming, with its open floorplan, perfect sunroom for reading (or napping), and a great backyard for the dog. We loved being so close to the beach, to restaurants (mostly the Breakfast Club!), to the Polar Plunge and the amazing fireworks. The neighborhood was nice and quiet, yet still right in the middle of all the action. We love this island in the off-season, and have been coming for more than a dozen years. We would definitely like to return to Tybee Daze.

Fees are reminded in the policies and description of the cottage, and it's up to the guest to mark that they're bringing a pet (otherwise we don't know).   Enjoyed the cottage. We were 2 friends who live on opposite sides of the country who were looking for a pleasant, comfortable place to relax and reconnect. This cottage definitely met our needs, each of us had our own bedroom and bathroom which gave us our own space when we needed it and the comfortable living room provided us a place to veg out and have lengthy conversations. The porch outside the bedrooms was a great place to sit and read and the backyard was a nice size and very private in terms of being secluded from adjacent houses.Diane was very helpful in terms of suggestions of places to go and restaurants to eat at. Also if something needed to be fixed she was right on top of it. All in all—- a great place to vacation.

  I was disappointed this time around. The yard was a kitty litter box. I had to wacth my dogs every minute they were out there. One of my dogs got sick. Also the fence had not been checked for dog safety. There were 3 areas where the dogs could get out. I do appreciate the quickness of the repair once I called but one area was not secured and I spent one morning frantically looking for my little dog, Cleo.

  Imagine walking into a rental property and immediately feeling like it’s home. That is exactly how we felt. After a long day of travel we walked in to this charming cottage with some lamps on and music playing, such a warm welcome. The cottage was so comfortable and all six of us thought it couldn’t have been better the front and back porches were just delightful. We loved the landscaping and the privacy that was provided in the back yard. It was conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. We would love to be able to come back often.

We didn't vet to enjoy it as much because of time a d weather. Tybee Daze was in great location, we cojld walk to tbe beach and several eateries. We will return

  Always great with Mermaid cottages! The cottages are always clean and in great shape. The Tybee Daze cottage was so nice and relaxing. We walked to the beach daily, walked to AJs for the boiled shrimp. The cottage was well stocked with all the kitchen necessities. Thank you so much for opening your cottage for others to use. We had so many great memories, including the surf lessons with Hot Sushi, walking Savannah, and eating some of the best food around. Again, thanks to the owner, we love the old school island cottages and we had a great week!

  I was in Savannah for 2 weeks following Hurricane Matthew conducting repairs at Fort Pulaski. Diane and Denise at Mermaid Cottages were incredible in finding lodging for all of our staff, and Sara was patient with my extended stays. The house was a wonderful cozy place to come to at the end of a 12-hour workday. I hope to return to Tybee and enjoy this rental and the beach too.

  Tybee Daze Cottage was just as pictured. The bedrooms are light and airy and decorated in lively beach colors. The sunroom was my favorite, a wonderful place to have your morning coffee! Cottage is close enough to beach to walk but most of the time we loaded up the golf cart and drove.

  It's been 3 years since I've been back to Tybee. This trip we traveled with another couple and their three girl's, there first time to Tybee. We just had a great time. The weather was great, the cottage was prefect. One regret was, I only brought my son's bicycle. when I got there said to myself...I knew I should of brought mine. We did have one issue in the bath room, made a call to the 24hr service and they were there within 30minutis. They also made follow up calls, checking if we were ok. I mean what can I say...Mermaid Cottages Rock!
