The Pampered Pelican (formerly Stardust Cottage) is a ground-level cottage located on Jones Avenue and is close to several other Mermaid Cottages (rent several for large family vacations!) as well as just a few blocks from the beach. Adorable Sandy Toes is just across the street!

The Pampered Pelican has been newly renovated and guests will enjoy the wonderful screened porch and back deck with fully fenced-in yard for our Furmaids, as well as all new furnishings inside! Note: Washer and dryer access is on screened porch. There are 3 adorable, beachy bedrooms all with queen beds (all 3 bedrooms have TVs!) and a wonderful large living/dining/kitchen area with plenty of seating, TV and a large, fully equipped kitchen with new stainless steel appliances!

  It's a cute little home and perfect for our family. It was clean and quiet, although it's located on a busy street, and had everything we needed (we made great use of the kitchen and charcoal grill while we were there). A short, easy walk to the beach. Although the beds were firmer than we like, we really enjoyed our stay. And the Mermaids, they are incredible to rent from! We had initially planned our vacation at the same time as TS Debby, but the Mermaids went above and beyond to accommodate us and give us options so we could come back at a later date and enjoy our time on Tybee...which we did very much :) Thank you Mermaids!

  This is my second stay at the Pampered Pelican, but it will not be my last! This single level home has a huge yard and a delightful screened in porch that encourages you to sit and listen to the birds, the breezes and the laughter of the students of the Maritime Academy.
  
  The location is great for a quick walk or ride to the beach, delicious dining and shopping just off Butler Ave. My guests were equally delighted to find the layout and comfortable furnishings felt just like home. The large bathroom was especially appreciated for the friend recovering from foot surgery.

We knew the house wasn’t on the beach so we rented bikes and everyone enjoyed riding to the beach, the pier and restaurants. You’re never far from the beach on Tybee!! The fenced in back yard and screened in porch were perfect for our little dog. The house had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

  The house was perfect for what we needed and we really enjoyed our week. My only feedback would be there was no hand soap if any kind in the house and no spare rolls of toilet paper. Each bathroom had what was on the roll and that was it for 3 of us for a full week. Also there were a lot of ants and ant hills in the backyard which didn’t bother us but if someone had smaller kids it could have been an issue. Otherwise the house was great!

  Our family had a lovely stay at the Stardust Cottage in Tybee. We were first time visitors to the island and we're happy to discover that the cottage was in a perfect location. It's in mid-beach a couple blocks from the beach, but only a short walk to the beach access on 7th street. (I recommend having a wagon to transport your beach items). The beach was quiet and peaceful and much less crowded than other beaches we visited (though this was after Labor Day). The cottage fit our our guests comfortably and also provided a safe space for our fur baby. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Stardust Cottage to anyone looking for a Tybee Island getaway.

  Tybee used to be a great getaway for us. But TB forgot how to be TB. The fines now imposed are a far cry from being a enjoyable place to visit. Everything was through the roof on cost except the cottage we stayed at.Went to bernies to have lunch $110.00 and not worth it they must have thought they were HH up the road!Bernies and all the other places at TB are drinking the same kool aid. We won't be back!! Tammy our host was wonderful and this trip was great with her help.

  The property was every bit as comfortable, convenient & cozy as described. Our pups enjoyed spending time with us on the enclosed porch and in the fenced-in yard. Restaurant favorites are Sundae Cafe, AJ's & North Beach bar. We also enjoyed renting bikes to get around.

  We enjoyed our stay at the Stardust Cottage! It was super clean and decorated nicely. The location has a sun porch and back deck for relaxing when it is not too hot. There are TVs in most of the bedrooms and wifi is available. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils and dishes. The only thing that was an issue was the air conditioning. It was in the 90's the weekend we visited, and the system was preset to 70 degrees as the lowest temp. which made it a little warm for sleeping. Other than that, great location just a quick walk to the beach. The street is a little busy with car traffic so you need to be mindful if you have pets or small children.

  Our stay at Stardust was amazing. The home is beautiful and so sweetly decorated. We adored drinking morning coffee and evening cocktails on the screened porch. Our children loved playing in the fenced in backyard. Stardust is so conveniently located- a short walk to the beach, to the playground, and fairly central to all things on Tybee. We love the service and hospitality we get from Mermaid Cottages and that is why they will get our repeat business. They are second to none.

  Stardust Cottage was perfect for our family! Fenced -in yard for dogs and proximity to beach was convenient! Quiest, residential neighborhood with bike paths was great for our teenagers!

  We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It's in a good walking distance to the beach; although we would've appreciated a much closer distance, especially when you have to take all your beach stuff.

Stardust is mid-block (6 house long), and the blocks going towards the ocean are 2 houses long, so it's not too far ~ but hauling stuff in the heat is definitely something to consider!   Easy to book and great communication from Mermaid Cottages. The cottage itself was very cute and updated. Loved the screened in porch and fenced in back yard for doggies. The location was perfect, only a few blocks from the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend Stardust Cottage and will stay there again on our next trip to Tybee Island.

  We love Tybee! With easy access to the north or south end of the island, Fish Tales was a great base for my sister's birthday celebration. The back yard & porches were large and nicely set up to enjoy our morning coffee and evening cocktails. The manager was quick to respond to our call. We had so much fun we even decided to stay an extra day!

  Fish Tale cottage was a great home away from home for my family and I. 2 short blocks to the beach and it was clean and newly renovated. My son loved having his own room with a tv(a luxury he doesn’t have at home). We had a small maintenance issue while we were there the Mermaids had it fixed right away. As always a wonderful time staying with the Mermaids.

  Our stay at fish tales was very pleasant. The house has been updated with many nice upgrades. The shower is HUGE! Loved it!! The whole house was very clean and tidy. The bedrooms had plenty of storage for your clothes. The beds are very firm, too firm for me but I realize that is personal preference. The house is in a nice location an easy walk to the beach. The only negative was the grass was really high, but our Mermaid worked really hard to get this resolved. It did take a few days to have someone come and cut it, but it was taken care of. This is our second stay in Mermaid Cottages and we are looking forward to yet another cottage!
