This charming ground level cottage features original hardwood floors, artwork from local artists, and a bright sunny kitchen with everything you need and more! Kitchen is equipped with both traditional and K-cup coffeemakers. Enjoy your complimentary sample of Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee; a special perk for all Mermaid Cottages guests!
NOTE: There is a step-up to the kitchen; not same level as other rooms. Private outdoor shower with hot and cold water, fenced in backyard, a nice back deck, and a wonderful screened in porch for enjoying morning coffee (Mermaid Morning Bliss ~ MMM Bliss) or evening cocktails. Outside, Nora's features charcoal and gas grills. Entertainment options include tons of board games and even outdoor games; corn hole anyone?

  This little cottage was perfect for our summer vacation! It was extremely clean and very thoughtfully decorated. The space was perfectly laid out to accommodate a group of people without feeling crowded. There were tons of outdoor amenities, including a fire pit, outdoor shower, 2 grills, a large deck with seating, and a screened porch. They even had family-friendly toys and games! The beach access was a direct walk from the house, and the house was located right on the bike path that goes through town. The property managers were kind, professional, and attentive. They contacted us before our visit and after we arrived to make sure everything was as we expected it to be. We couldn't have been happier with the location, the house, or the property managers! Would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a getaway to Tybee Island!

  Nora’s is the perfect cottage. So cute, cozy, and relaxing. We have a twice a year girl’s (cousins) trip and have been coming to Tybee since February 2020. We have stayed at Mermaid Cottages every time and we have stayed at Nora’s for 4 of 5 trips. This cottage is just so pretty and cozy. Kitchen has loads of space and everything needed (note - we do NOT fix meals while on vacation). The porch at Nora’s is terrific! We spend most of our time relaxing on this porch with coffee and/or cocktails. If we aren’t on the porch - we are taking advantage of the multiple outdoor seating areas. There’s a fire pit!
  Customer service CANNOT be beat. The Mermaids are terrific.

  We just returned from an amazing week-long stay at Nora's Cottage over the 4th of July week. We have stayed at many Mermaid Cottages over the years, and while all are wonderful, this might be our favorite yet! The house is in a great location on the bike path and super close to the beach. It is decorated beautifully and outfitted with everything you could need for your stay. It was the perfect size for our family of four and our kids loved the bunk beds and the fun games on the screened porch where we spent a lot of our time.   Miss Nora's Cottage was exactly what we needed for our stay in Tybee Island. The cottage was quaint and very pretty, also perfectly appointed - we had everything we needed for the week. I loved the screened in porch especially! The fenced in back yard was also great for our dog. Everything was also clean and though the cottage is older, it's obvious that it's well cared for. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the beach and is also walkable to restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops! We had an amazing time and I would definitely go back and stay at Miss Nora's again!

  I knew it would be a cute cottage, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it even more beautiful than the pictures. It lives like a home, with all the modern amenities, but with the charm of a 1940's cottage. I, actually, inquired about whether the owner would sell. I travel to Savannah fairly often since my son and daughter-in-law live there. If I don't stay with them, I will definitely book Nora's Cottage again.

  An A+ perfect stay! The property is meticulously maintained and spotless. Well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook every meal, or heat-up your take-out. The house is on the bike path road, so the porch is perfect for people watching while sipping a cocktail or snack. The fenced backyard offers a nice private dining and hanging out spot as well. Short walk to the beach, bike ride to all that Tybee has to offer. You absolutely cannot do any better than a stay with the Mermaids. I've stayed in many rentals, have run my own airbnb and can say without a doubt that they are the absolute best. And while I'm sure all of their properties are marvelous, Nora's cottage is impossible to beat.

  Nora's Cottage was a little piece of heaven for our family vacation to Tybee Island. A short 7-8 minute walk from the beach, we enjoyed the quiet, shady street and the atmosphere of people walking, biking and cruising in their rented golf carts.
  The screened porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening conversations under the ceiling fan.
  It's a quick 25 minute drive into Savannah and all the beautiful live oak trees. We will definitely try to return to Tybee again, and Mermaid Cottages will be our first choice for a place to stay.

  Nora's cottage is exactly as shown in pictures, if not better in person. The house was spotless, and the kitchen came with all the tools needed for cooking through the week. The location to the beach is perfect, barely a 5 minute walk. The staff reached out to see if we needed anything and were very available if needed (we didn't because everything was perfect, but nice to know they were there!) This was our first family vacation and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I recommend HIGHLY taking a trip with sundial charters to Little Tybee- we found loads of sand dollars and beautiful huge shells. We will definitely be back to Tybee and Nora's cottage!!

  We really loved our stay at Nora's Cottage. The house was exactly as pictured. So clean and equipped with everything we needed. The front porch was wonderful. There were four of us - parents and two teenagers. We loved the location with the house being right on the bike trail and then also being a very short and easy walk to the beach. We had bikes delivered, rode bikes to eat, around the island, to the light house, etc. We enjoyed dinner at the Deck Beachbar, ice cream at the SugarShack. Also ate at Sundae Cafe. Went kayaking too. We were very fortunate to have fantastic weather during our stay! The notebook with info in the house was really helpful too.

  Only praises for this absolutely charming cottage- no complaints (and 1 suggestion/make beach towels and chairs available). Nora's cottage has so many wonderful spaces to enjoy - the screen porch, the wonderful kitchen, the private deck, the comfy living room and last but not least the cozy bedrooms. We did not have a car - rented bikes (which were delivered to and picked up from the cottage) and rode all over the island (fun). The cottage was spotless (inside & out). The management company was responside and helpful. We toured the lighthouse and took a nature walk on the beach with the Marine Center. Loved the seafood at Stingrays. Enjoyed looking at all the adorable cottages as we walked & biked the island.

  This was our 3rd trip to Tybee staying with Mermaid Cottages and our 1st ever Thanksgiving trip. It did not disappoint. Typically we come in the summer and spend a week doing the typical summer beach type of things. This year we decided to come during Thanksgiving and got to see a completely different side of Tybee. High tides made it a neat experience and the fact that the island is much quieter this time of year made it more relaxing. The temperatures were awesome compared to the blazing heat of summer. Savannah on Black Friday was awesome on Broughton St and shopping at Seaside Sisters on small business Saturday was just as neat. You can not go wrong with any of Mermaid's properties. All are meticulously maintained and located so that you can enjoy any part of the island you wish. Also I would recommend renting a golf cart. We have done bikes before but the golf cart exploring was way too cool. Looking forward to returning next year already. Enjoyed carryout 18" giant pizzas for only $15 from Huc-A-Poos on the island and a great sit down dinner at Paula Deen's Creek House Seafood and Grill on the way to Savannah just past one of the marsh bridges. In Savannah had an awesome Italian lunch at Corleone's. The best kept secret to me though is the deli at the IGA on the island. They have the best sandwiches around. You can also buy your own local fresh shrimp from the store in the back for $8.99 a lb and in 3-4 minutes of cooking time have your own peel n eat or shrimp cocktail for 1/2 to 3/4 the price of any restaurant and it is awesome.

    Well, you've certainly hit all of our 'off season' favorites! Another secret about IGA ~ you can have them deliver groceries before you even get here (along with those deli sandwiches!!) for only $5. They'll set it up with us and even put stuff in the fridge.   This charming cottage is exactly as pictured. Great attention was obviously given to every detail. Seating and sleeping arrangements were perfect for the 3 of us. The place was spotlessly clean, and we had every necessity and then some. Loved the front porch. The only downside, and it wasn’t major, was the yard across the street. There seemed to be an ongoing yard sale, flea market that was very unappealing from the porch. The location is basically in the middle of the island but everything is perfectly accessible. The beach is a short 2 1/2 blocks and beautiful unspoiled beach both ways. All the people were incredible nice. We found some terrific restaurants and cute beach shops. It was a perfect low key getaway, and we will definitely be returning. I think Mermaid Cottages is by far the best choice.

  This historic cottage was a sublime accommodation during our two-week stay on Tybee Island. Very bright and clean with comfortable beds, great kitchen, etc.. Save for a number of appliance issues we could not have hoped for anything better and Mermaid Cottages went above and beyond to compensate for these shortcomings. Once these issues are worked out, this will be a perfect vacation rental in my opinion. I can't say enough about the professionalism and organization of Mermaid Cottages. We will definitely be back.

  A beautiful and comfortable home; less than 10 minutes walk to beach with small children. It's hard to think of a flaw because virtually every little detail was good, but in the bunk room the top bunk is unsafe because the safety rail is too low. It would probably be a good idea to raise that railing about 6 inches but for our purposes it was no problem since our 9 yr old slept on a very comfortable sofa in the living room instead and loved it.

  My husband and I recently stayed at Nora's cottage...the cottage is adorable...everything we could have needed was provided...clearly, some love and care has gone into these renovations and updating. The week we were there was unseasonably warm (the locals agreed), but we were able to spend a lot of time on the beach as a result. I received a text from Jennifer asking if all was ok and did we need anything...I really liked that...I am not a phone person, so the text was great.
  Tybee is really a great place...from the big, beautiful beaches, to the availability of biking routes, to the proximity of Savannah, this location really can't be improved upon. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will be back.

  The stay was perfect. The house was impeccable. And I will honestly say, this is the first time that the pictures just didn't do it justice. The pics actually make the house look smaller and it was a great size. We had 4 adults and 2 small kids. And just enough room for all of us to hang out comfortably. Bedrooms were nice. The bathroom was clean. The porch was perfect for eating or just hanging out. And the screens were key. We were really close to the beach and didn't really use the car much at all unless we wanted to drive to the Crab Shack. We loved it. Would definitely recommend it!

  I loved the décor of this little cottage. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. The cottage was very clean and perfect for a little family. Right on the bike path and you could easily walk or bike to the beach. We even road the bike to the IGA to get a few items to have for breakfast and snacks. We rented bikes and they had dropped them off and picked them up from the cottage so that was very efficient too
