  Sea Casa was perfect for our family, which included four adults and two children. This is the second time we've stayed at the house and we would definitely stay there again. Our favorite parts of the house are the huge screened porch (where we eat all our meals), the outdoor shower (nothings better after a day at the beach), and the proximity to the beach. The whole house is comfortable and clean. We do a lot of cooking and even some baking and the kitchen had what we needed. Mermaid Cottages is a great company to rent from. They are extremely responsive and helpful, if needed, and otherwise you never see them (which is perfect).

  We visited in July 2021 and had a fantastic stay. Mermaid Cottages provided 5 star service and our rental was clean and well-stocked with any tools you need to cook for the family. Tammy checked in by phone before and after a storm and to give me some info on local sites and activities, such as the free water taxi on the river. The Mimosa house was just a 5 minute walk to the beach and to several local food spots. The fenced yard was great for our kids and our dogs. There is a nice park/playground a short walk from the house as well. The area is beautiful, with many historic sights on the island in addition to the beautiful city of Savannah, which is filled with great restaurants and history. Being from NJ, you cannot beat the 85 degree ocean water at Tybee!

  Property was exactly as described and very clean upon arrival. Mermaid did an excellent job of communicating prior to coming and called to discuss the gas shortage and assure that if we couldn’t make it, they would provide a refund. Thankfully, no problem getting there. The cottage is cozy but comfortable for the 6 of us and could sleep 8 if needed. Loved the back patio and fenced yard was helpful for our small dogs. The only minor issue we noticed was the washing machine could use a deep cleaning around the door seal and the screen doors in the back need to be adjusted. Overall a good experience and would recommend Mermaid without hesitation.

The only thing was that there were holes under the fence and our small dog got out.   The pictures that are posted with the rental are a bit deceiving as everything wasn't as freshly painted as it seems. The location is fantastic and really easy. The floor was dirty when we came in, management did offer to clean it but by the time we were in the house the juggle would have been harder with the cleaning crew. A couple broken piece of the chairs out front and ripped screens on the back porch. Think the price was a bit high for what we really got.

  We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. A 2 minute walk to the beach. Lots of food options within walking distance. The furniture is a bit aged but fine for the cottage. Beds were comfortable enough. The only negative was the dishwasher was still filled with dishes, so we had to unload in order to do the dishes we used. Also, even though we arrived 3 hrs after check in, the dryer was still running with the towels in there.

  We had a wonderful time on Tybee Island for our "girl cousins" vacation. The cottage is in a nice, quiet location only 2 blocks from the beach - very easy walk. We used the screen porch on the back every evening. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked. Our only "nit" was that the knives are not very sharp and the shower curtain could use updating. Otherwise, everything was terrific and A+.

  Our family, gathering from multiple locations (Galveston TX, Jacksonville FL, Silver Spring MD, Savannah GA) experienced a perfect Thanksgiving week at the Mimosa Cottage. The space including the screened in porch, living room area and kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms accommodated all of us from ages 2-82. The kitchen provided all that we needed for Thanksgiving meals. The style, furniture and decorations were functional and adorable! We loved the mermaid/beach theme everywhere including the darling painted bathroom mirror.
  The location could not have been better, a quick walk to the beach 2 blocks away, with a playground for the 2 year old just a block away. Also a fully stocked convenience store with really friendly employees within walking distance made for easy accessibility for a variety of items.
  The Mermaid Cottage employees were regularly checking in with us to ensure we had all that we needed and easily available as questions arrived.
  We will DEFINITELY return to Tybee and rent from the Mermaid Cottage company again. There was not one detail missed to provide for our needs. We can't wait! Thank you for everything!!!

  This is a very nice cottage. Everything was clean and in good condition. The only exception were the frying pans which were showing their age. They were usable, just a lot of scrapes. The yard was not in good shape due, I assume, to the recent storms. Overall, an excellent place to stay and I recommend it.

  We had a great time at Mimosa cottage. It was about two blocks from the beach which was perfect. The outdoor shower was wonderful to wash off in. All the appliances and fixtures were new and the washer and dryer were a must for a family of 6. The AC was awesome and keep us all cool even with the kids coming in an out all the time. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. I love the north end of the island because it's a little more family friendly and quiet. Yet, there is plenty of shops and restaurants near by to go to. Also the owners/operators of this place were wonderful. They called the day we were to arrive to check and see when we would be there, so everything was spotless the lights were on and the house was cool when we walked in. They also called to make sure everything was good after we were there a day or so. I love how warm, helpful and friendly they were!

  We came for Girl's Weekend and Mimosa Cottage was the perfect place. There was enough room for everyone to have their own bed and space. The living and dining area were the perfect size for hanging around and enjoying morning coffee. The cottage itself was very clean. My friends loved the outdoor shower. The only negative was that people drive super fast on the road in front of the house. With the amount of tourist, golf carts and foot traffic, I would hope Tybee would address this issue. But overall, I am looking to bring my family back to Mermaid Cottages we had such a great time!

Furniture & fixtures are somewhat dated (a full-sized sofa would be great), dryer belt screeched, re-scrubbed the tub upon arrival, shower pipe made a horrible noise, & 1 pillow case had an unidentified stain. We spent most of our time outside - on the beach, riding bikes, & basic exploring. LOVED the screened porch. Mattresses were VERY comfortable. A/C worked great. Missed the non-refundable cleaning fee in the agreement; that should be refundable based on how tenants leave the property.

  Really convenient location for a quick, easy walk to the beach. We were surprised how busy Jones Avenue is, though. The speed limit is 25, but cars race down the street. In the house, everything was clean and well decorated. The property just needs some TLC: the toilet in the 1/2 bath leaked, the dryer squealed so badly it was unusable and the front door knob is so close to the door jamb, we scraped our knuckles every time we closed the door. Every door in the house sticks and there are no exhaust vents in the bathrooms or the kitchen. A few repairs will make this sweet little property perfect for any family.

  This is our third or fourth time staying at a Mermaid cottage and we are never disappointed. Cottages are always clean and well-stocked. Mimosa cottage was perfect for our need to recharge over the holiday break. It fit our family of 5, plus dog, but I wouldn't recommend for more than 6 adults. It would get crowded. We go on bike rides to the lighthouse, and always stop at AJ's for lunch. Easy trip into Savannah for dinner. Also visited the Oatland Island Wildlife Center. Highly recommend!

  This was the first time I have been able, since my divorce, to rent somewhere for an extended number of days for my children to enjoy. My grand baby as well. Carol was outstanding with helping me!!! The payment plan was awesome and really was the main reason I was able to achieve this. Again, I just can't say enough about how great Carol was, she listened to the amount of money I had ( with no judgement, and helped match the home to my needs. Thanks so much!!   We arrived s bit too early with a teething 6 month old, and the cleaning lady, Beth johnson, graciously let us in. The house was spotless with all the necessities. Great walking location to beach, relatively centralized house. We fit 6 adults, 1 infant, and 1 dog, and still had an open bed. Outdoor shower came in handy. We called main office when we ran out of paper towels to ask if they were provided or not (they are not after initial starter kit), staff was super friendly and helpful.

  This was our first visit to Tybee. Our charming beach cottage was wonderful! The Mermaids were very helpful and easy to work with. They went over and beyond to make sure our stay in Tybee was enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable! The screen porch was really nice and was perfect when coming off the beach. There was a nice deck in back as well with a table and umbrella. We loved the location. We rented bikes and rode them to the beach each day. We were also able to ride them to restaurants and stores. I liked the location because we were on a more quiet side of the island. There is a wonderful bike route close by that can take you to the pier and the marsh. I will definitely rent from the mermaids again!

  This was our third stay at a mermaid cottage and as usual it was great. Everything they say about their cottages are true. They have everything you need right there. It was only a short walk to the beech which saved us a lot in parking meter money and the kids enjoyed the walk. We were very satisfied with our stay and plan to go back next year and maybe bring some more family. We didn't see any of the management personnel but I'm sure if we needed them they would be there. All in all it was very enjoyable and look forward to next summer. Thank you all for a great vacation.

  We enjoyed our week at Mimosa Cottage. Cute, casual, vintage, beachy home featuring all the necessities and convenient location (though on very busy street). We really liked to relax on the large screened porch in the rocking chairs! Would love to see the living area panelling painted white too, a hammock or chaise on the porch and maybe a little minor freshening here and there but all around a great little island hideaway!   Savannah tops it all! We stopped at Charleston and Myrtle Beach (on way home) - don't bother, just spend all your time in Savannah on Tybee Island with the Mermaids!

  We had a wonderful weekend retreat for a group of 13 ladies. We stayed in the Mimosa Cottage and the Blues Away. The Blues Away was beautifully decorated and very homey feeling. The Mimosa was not as updated and could use a coat of paint throughout, but it had a wonderful outdoor living space with the screened porch and deck. The staff was very helpful and responsive with some issues we had with the keys. This was my second stay with Mermaid Cottages and I will definitely come back!

  This was our first family vacation in many years and it was a definite success and having such a nice place to stay helped a great deal. The entire family was very impressed by the household supplies that were available, including beach toys for my son. We were able to have impromptu meals without a lot of planning and, when it rained, we were still able to find things to do since there were many books, puzzles, and games in areas throughout the cottage. The walk to the beach was enjoyed many times throughout our stay. Thanks again for such a great opportunity for my family.

  This house was perfect for our girls trip to Tybee. The size was just right for four plus Lilli, the mini-schnauzer! Lilli says thanks for the special treats for her. We had unusually cold weather while there and the cottage stayed nice and toasty. A couple of nights we could have used some extra blankets for the beds but we understood that the cold weather was unique for Tybee! We truly enjoyed the Tybee lifestyle and when we return, we will definitely seek out a Mermaid Cottage!
