  I can’t recommend this little house highly enough. It’s very well appointed with nice furniture and great beds. The kitchen has everything you need to start cooking, including spices and good knives. There’s a large DVD and VHS collection with 3 smart TVs. It has a huge screeened porch. Both the owner and Mermaid are very responsive. One drawback: if a washer/dryer is a must then this isn’t the house for you (thank you, arcane Tybee regulations). Overall, it’s a great, relaxing home away from home.

  This is our second stay at this location, we love it. We have 2 kids, 19 yo and 6 yo, so it is hard to find things they both want to do. Tybee has it all, there wasn't one disagreement the whole time we were there. We stayed at the rental.more than last year due to rain, but we played games and hung out on the porch, it was great!

  A Little Salty cottage was perfect. We arrived to a beautifully and colorfully decorated cottage with the lamps all on and soft music playing. Happy Colors! The screened front porch wraps around to the side. It was large and wonderful. We spent much of our time chilling in the padded chaises listening to the birds and a wind chime high up in the tree. Dappled sunlight filtered through to us and it just seemed magical. The king size bed was so comfortable. The cottage was one of the cleanest I have ever seen. It is well located. A short walk to Chatham crossover for great sunrises and in the evening an even shorter walk to Alley 3 to see the sunset each evening. We easily walked Downtown several times. We stored our bikes under the eaves in the real of the house. It has a large pretty grassy back yard with another sitting area around a large webber grill. The yard is very private thanks to fencing and would be perfect for littles or a pup. The nice concrete drive can hold multiple cars. The kitchen had everything we needed. I fixed a spread with appetizers and wine for friends who live on Tybee and served it on the table on the porch. It was such a perfect place to catch up with friends. If you are lucky enough to score a rental for this cottage...do it you will not be sorry. Too many special touches with owner created art and crafts. The Mermaids are the BEST!

  wifey's birthday weekend trip to Tybee Island GA was one of the most relaxing and peaceful weekends we have enjoyed lately. This cottage was perfect for us. A short walk (4 or 5 blocks) to beach area, dinning and entertainment. It had all amentities we needed from books and movies to any kitchen item we may need. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. We are typically an "on the go" couple exploring the area, dinning and shopping. Not this weekend, the screened in porch turned out to be our favorite spot of the weekend. We spent a lot of time, just relaxing on the porch. The owner was fantastic. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay. Our next trip to the island will definitely include a stay at one of the Mermaid Cottage properties.

  ‘A Little Salty’ Cottage was just the ticket for our first ever trip to Tybee. From the moment we walked in, we felt totally at home. The cottage is so quaint and comfortable. It was VERY clean and well stocked with everything we needed (and then some). We all (especially our two basset hounds) loved the screened in porch. The yard was helpful for “last call” with the pups, but the rest of the weekend we walked them all over the island. Fun was had by all! Our only feedback is that it’s time for a new king mattress, because the existing one isn’t very comfortable. The Queen mattress was awesome, though.
  
  Mermaid Cottages was fantastic, too! Great communication throughout the process and we really appreciated the heads up on the St. Patty’s activities on the Tybee. It helped us avoid a huge traffic tie up. Loved the small touches from the Mermaids, too!

The pictures and description on Mermaid’s website were spot on... no surprises or disappointments when we arrived. It was very clean and well appointed. Kitchen was adequately equipped and had everything we needed to prep meals. Since we began dealing with the staff at Mermaid Cottages, we have been very impressed with their friendliness and fantastic customer service. It was reassuring to know if anything went awry, they would be there to help. We loved the Back River location of this cottage. It was quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The Alley 3 kayak put in was a few hundred yards from our door. The little beach there was always empty (Jan/Feb) and a great place to read or enjoy sunsets.. The large “L” shaped screen porch was a perfect spot to relax after a full day of Tybee fun. We would recommend A Little Salty to anyone wanting a cozy cottage in a peaceful location.

  This cottage is located very close to the back river beach and everything downtown. We rented a golf cart and had free parking which made it even better. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The screened porch is lovely to play cards on and the beds, couches, and chairs are all comfortable as well. Tammy was wonderful to talk to when we had any questions and made our weekend by having the cottage ready early for us! We will definitely book again!

  Mom, daughter, and granddaughter annual outing is always much anticipated. We have stayed on Tybee Island several times now and always with Mermaid Cottages. A Little Salty was perfect! The wrap around porch was wonderful to sit out and enjoy the ocean breeze. The property was very clean and decorated in a beautiful beach theme. We had fresh flowers on the table and soft music playing as we entered. Granddaughter's 21st birthday was celebrated...Mermaid had banner, card, and a little bubbly to make her day special. Walks on the beach and pier, eating at our now favorite spots, shopping, and of course ice cream make this a favorite retreat for us. I would 100% recommend this cottage thru Mermaid Cottages. Customer Service was outstanding. Look forward to next year!!!!

  I recently had a wonderful and restorative stay at A Little Salty” cottage. I left later than I meant to and got there after dark. I slept like a rock that night, The screened porch was my daily refuge where I breathed in the sweet salt air, read and did some watercolor painting. You are literally steps from the back river beach and Kayak Launch area at Alley 3. I met some great local residents down on the beach.
  
  I booked a half day inshore fishing trip and a Little Tybee Trip from Sundial Charter. Conveniently, their boats pick up down by the fishing pier, also a short walk from the cottage. I had a great time on my inshore fishing trip and Captain Tommy Williams hooked me up with some HUGE redfish, one about 30”, one 28” and a few other big ones we had to release. I did have one that was legal to keep and grilled it using Captain Tommy’s recipe. He calls it “redfish on the half shell” lol.
  
  Mermaid Cottages are always sparkling clean and the Mermaids provide incredible customer service. A huge thanks to Diane for her great kindnesses to me including when my car died as I left to go home and was stranded between Tybee and Savannah. I had to have the car towed and she made sure I had a place to stay while my car was repaired. Mermaid Jennifer even texted me to make sure I got home OK.
  
  I cooked most of meals there and enjoyed having a full kitchen. Oh and there is a great Weber charcoal grill where some cousins who also came to Tybee and I cooked some delicious filets one night.
  
  I cannot wait to come back!
