NO BEACH TOWELS OR BEACH GEAR PROVIDED

Blue Skies is a beautiful, fully updated and decorated beach townhome full of art by local artists. This is a "beach side" of Butler Avenue home with a fully fenced yard; all pets welcome. 3 bedrooms (all queen beds), 2.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom has a TV plus a TV room off of the living room and a small TV in the kitchen.
Ground floor bedrooms each have a queen bed and there is a full bath on the ground level as well with shower/ tub combo. Second floor has a master bedroom with its own full bathroom - Shower only.
There is also a half bathroom off the kitchen. Outdoor Private Shower with Hot & Cold Water- ideal for after the beach.
Beach access is 12th or 13th Street - there is no beach access down 12th Terrace. This is an easy walk to the beach with no busy streets to cross.
Parking for two cars only.
Garage is not available for guests.
Large side yard - fully fenced. Yard has plenty of room for dogs to run and has patio/garden seating. Full of live oaks and other mature landscaping.
NOTE the fence and garden are fully fenced, however you do need to go outside the home to the gate to access the yard. You CANNOT just open the door and let your dogs into the fenced yard. Once inside the yard, there is lots of room to run and play and the fence is fully secure.
There is a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

Blue Skies is pet-friendly with no restrictions regarding size or number of pets.

  Our family really enjoyed staying in Blue Skies. It’s a very roomy, pet-friendly townhouse with a wonderful fenced backyard. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the artwork in this home, and the house was spotlessly clean and in great condition. It was a very pleasant place to stay. We would definitely stay here again.
  
  The property is conveniently located near the IGA—we could walk to groceries. We could also walk to the pier and restaurants. The beach is an easy, quick walk from the property, too.
  
  The best part about Blue Skies, however, was renting from the Mermaids. They’re simply the best vacation rental property—they’re very easy to deal with, and that makes renting from them an absolute pleasure. They checked in to make sure we could find the property and to make sure our stay was going well and that we had everything we needed. They’re super.

  We had a great time in Blue Skies. It was just as described and spotlessly clean. The walk to the beach is so short. Mermaid staff kept in touch, but thankfully we never needed extra support. The beds are comfy and there's plenty of dresser and closet space for a longer stay. We cooked a lot, and baked, and the kitchen met our needs nicely. The huge dining room table was great for a family, and can be hard to find in other places. Having both a living room and a den was nice so that people could socialize or chill in different places. We love an outdoor shower and this one was no exception. I would highly recommend this place, especially for a group of adults. Our kids did well sharing a bed, but groups with lots of kids might do better with one room with two sets of bunk beds.

  We had an absolutely incredible time staying at Blue Skies. The layout is nice. We didn't use the tv room for anything other than a sleeping space, but the fact that every room has a tv was beneficial. All could watch what they wanted! We used the charcoal grill to cook up oysters we gathered. The Easter Bunny hid a lot of eggs in the fenced in yard. The amenities were great. We didn't want for anything for in the kitchen. IGA is close enough that if we needed milk, we could just run down and be back in no time. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to extend our trip by one night. We will definitely book with Mermaid Cottages again when we come back to Tybee Island.

  Great location, spacious, clean, great fenced outside yard for grilling and dog. No through traffic in front of house to beach makes it quiet. Only negative: a little traffic noise from Butler at yard side of house. Overall, really enjoyed the week and will be back this summer same location for another week.   We had the most wonderful time! Tammy had everything ready long before we arrived. Not only were the floors clean enough to eat off of (though don't do it-use the beautiful table), the rooms were beautifully decorated. Tammy checked daily to see if we needed anything, but since she'd thought of everything, we were fine. I told her to keep her phone charged, because whenever we come back to Tybee, we'll be staying with the Mermaids!

  We had a wonderful time at Blue Skies for two weeks. We were lucky to find this place since we waited late to find a house. It turned out to be in a great location. Close enough to town, but far enough away to not be around so many people. It was so clean and in great shape ready for our family. We felt like we were visiting someone's home. It did not feel like a vacation rental. The management company was fantastic. Very helpful and friendly. They wanted to make sure that we were happy and that we had everything we needed.   The mermaids made our stay at BLUE SKIES so wonderful! Upon arrival the porch light was on and the house had a few inside lights on as well. It looked amd smelled lovely- which was greatly appreciated after our 16 hour drive! The home is located super close to the beach and only minutes from all the shops and restaurants. Tucked off of Butler, it’s location is probably one of its biggest perks! It’s on a quiet lane and has enough parking for 2 cars. Beautiful windows and plenty of light makes this home feel like you are definitely on vacation! Mermaid cottages never disappoint they checked in on us and even helped my husband arrange a vow renewal on our favorite part of the beach. The home was so clean and comfortable.
