This wonderful, completely renovated and freshly decorated beach cottage has a prime location; it's located on the beach side of Butler Avenue which means ocean block. No roads to cross on your short journey to the beach! South End location means an easy walk to Main Street Tybee and all the shops/ restaurants/ night life and pier.
As an added bonus, it is right next door to another of our great cottages, Sandpiper Cottage. Perfect for a multi-family getaway when more than 1 great beach cottage is needed. Clamdigger is a bright and adorable beach cottage featuring flat screen TVs in all bedrooms as well as the living room and back dining room area. 3 bedrooms; 2 king bedrooms and 1 with two twin beds. Two full bathrooms. - downstairs bathroom is shower only- upstairs is claw-footed bathtub shower/ tub combo.
PLEASE NOTE: THE DOWNSTAIRS KING BEDROOM, BATHROOM AND LAUNDRY ROOM ARE ACCESSED THROUGH A SEPARATE DOWNSTAIRS ENTRANCE.

  Clamdigger is the best. The vintage furniture and art in the house adds to a calm and comforting environment. The downstairs room was perfect for my newlywed nephew and niece in law.   Loved everything about this beach home, everything was as advertised. We enjoyed the different living areas inside and out, big kitchen with good appliances and supplies, really comfortable beds, spacious bathrooms. Located within walking or short drive to 3 beach access points, perfect for getting our elderly family member to the south end for surf fishing. Should also mention the artistic decor, interesting collection of board games, and the privacy of the ground floor suite. We enjoyed being on a quiet side street tucked away from the noise of the pier area which was close by.

  We had the most amazing time at Clamdigger! Everything was very clean, beds were very comfortable and the location was perfect! We loved our short walk to Back River Beach and had the whole beach to ourselves! The screened in deck was so peaceful and we loved spending evenings on it. Our children loved dancing in the living room to music from the record player daily! The house had everything we needed and more! This was our second time using Mermaid Cottages on Tybee and we will absolutely be using them again if or future trips! Thank you for a mermazing stay!

  Overall, we had a great experience. The house was cute and had pretty much everything we needed. On the cleanliness side, the floors were dirty. It seemed like they had been vacuumed but not mopped in a while. My 3 year olds feet were constantly black.

  This was a really nice getaway weekend with friends. The cottage has a separate downstairs bedroom with a nice shower. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms that share a bath - it's an old style clawfoot tub, so a little awkward to shower in but it works. Fantastic screened porch, and a couple of living room areas - we had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Walkable to the beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. We rented bikes (shout out to Tim's bike rental, they are fantastic, and they deliver bikes to you), and never used the car the whole trip. Thank you, Mermaids! Can't wait to come back.

  We rented 2 cottages side-by-side so the grandchildren could visit the grandparents anytime and not have to cross a street. The cottages Clam-digger and Sandpiper were perfect! We were within easy walking to the beach and the screened-in porches were perfect for quiet morning coffee, lazy afternoon conversations and the occasional rainy day siesta.
  Both cottages were comfortable and accommodated family gatherings. The Mermaid professionals were spot on providing information, navigating emergencies and technical confusion.
