1513 Jones Ave Tybee Island, GA 31328 Our vintage 1930's cottage has been fully restored by a Georgia family who fell in love with Tybee Island! This little cottage has been restored from top to bottom and full of treasures the owner has collected to fill the home. Original local art, slipcovered furniture, charming details and delights are everywhere you look in this cottage. Cozy yet enough space to gather and enjoy. The owner is a Yoga teacher and there is a sense of calm to this cottage. You'll leave fully restored yourself! The cottage is located at the south end of Jones Ave which is a close walk to the south end beach as well as the downtown Tybee shops, restaurants and attractions. The Tybee Marine Sciene Center, the Tybee Pavillion and Fishing Pier as well as the Back River Fishing Pier and kayak launching site. Close to everything, yet quiet and relaxing. Pet Friendly- small dogs under 25 lbs only but the yard is not full fenced in. One of the best features of this cottage is the outdoor shower. This completely private shower has hot and cold water and accessible thru the 2nd bathroom. Greene Cottage is a joy and delight and very affordably priced.

  We own and operate 4 vacation rentals of our own, so we picked the Greene Cottage because of it's beachy decor and it's location. We were not disappointed...we spent mornings on the screened porch with coffee and a magazine. Barby said she has never been so takes alot to wind her down!
  We rented bikes and explored the island, climbed the lighthouse and did alot of Paddleboarding at the south end of the island.

  This was the first (of many more to come!) Mother Daughter vacations for us. It was a celebration of my girl's college graduation this past May. When I asked her where she wanted to go anywhere in the country, without a moment's hesitation, she announced "Tybee Island!"
  We live in the Philadelphia area and neither of us have really explored the South. Between the island and Historic Savannah, our plan was hatched!
  To say that the Greene Cottage immediately became our home away from home is an understatement. Each and every day we discovered something new about its magic!
  From our early morning pre-run coffee to our late afternoon Happy Hour, the screened front porch quickly became our favorite place to hang together.

Our cottage was in a great location, with all the comforts of home. We liked the screened in front porch with ceiling fan, all the furnishings, and loved how the cottage was decorated. I especially liked the outdoor shower. We had a great trip to Savannah, where we spent the day sightseeing. We had plenty of good seafood with great meals at Sting Ray's, Spanky's, and our favorite place being AJ's. When we visit Tybee Island again, it will all start with a call to Mermaid Cottages. It was a wonderful experience

  I reserved the cottage on line and as might be suspected, my husband and I were a bit unsure about what to expect in terms of quality and comfort. The Green cottage on Tybee surpassed our expections. You will find it to be warm, inviting and very eclectic in design with all of the modern conveniences one might see in a much higher priced vacation rental. We simply loved loved loved the place and would go back in a flash! This is truly a throw back to times gone by. You will love the front screened porch and the overall layout is most accomodating to adult guests. I would not call this cottage "young children friendly" only because the spare bed is extremely high for young children. We have no young'uns, so this home was absolutely perfect. Stay, play and relax...you will love it.

  This was by far our best family vacation we have taken. The cottage was perfect for us and we really enjoyed the care and creativity poured into making the property so charming. More than that, it was the people, especially Jan, who made our stay perfect. In all our travels, we have not experienced more truly hospitable people.
